Fair Grove R-X School District is excited to announce Dr. Christian Overstreet as its next Superintendent, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Overstreet brings over 13 years of experience in education, from a dedicated teacher and coach to a highly effective administrator. He has served as High School Principal for the past three years and as Assistant Principal and District Athletics & Activities Director for seven years.
Dr. Overstreet holds a Doctoral Degree in Education Administration and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Lindenwood University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Missouri State University. His professional journey and passion for educational excellence have made him a respected leader within the district and the broader educational community.
Looking ahead to his new role, Dr. Overstreet stated, “As the new superintendent, I look forward to building on the strong foundation and vision of success that has been in place for many years. This includes a commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence, strong community partnerships, and a commitment to supporting Fair Grove Schools' unbelievable teachers, faculty, and staff.”
Dr. Overstreet emphasized how his existing relationships in the district will shape his leadership, sharing, “These established connections provide a strong foundation for effective leadership and collaboration. In addition to these relationships, I look forward to building strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders within our community.”
Retiring superintendent, Mr. Mike Bell, commended Dr. Overstreet’s qualifications and impact on the district. “Dr. Overstreet has been a remarkable leader for the Fair Grove R-X School District, showcasing a commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and the success of both students and staff. His integrity, strong communication skills, and forward-thinking approach make him an outstanding choice. It’s another great day to be an Eagle!”
Dr. Overstreet and his family are proud to call Fair Grove their home. He reflected on what makes the district special, saying, “Fair Grove is special to my family because of the people and culture that make up our school community. The high levels of engagement and support from our community separate our school district from others. We live in a school community that bleeds purple and is passionate about excellence in all academic and extracurricular pursuits.”
