Dr. Hodson brings a strong background in education and leadership to our district. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University, along with degrees from Missouri State University in Elementary Education and Educational Administration. She has served as an 8th-grade English teacher in Bolivar, a 4th-grade teacher in Willard, and most recently, as the Assistant Principal at Jeffries Elementary in Springfield.
Outside of school, Dr. Hodson loves spending time outdoors with her husband, Stephen. They enjoy gardening, fishing, or relaxing on the patio with music. She also loves to read and learn new things.
Having spent time in Fair Grove growing up, she’s looking forward to supporting students, teachers, and families in meaningful ways. “I spent many days growing up going to Fair Grove ball games, eating at Kad-E-Korner, and getting my face painted at the annual craft fair. In a lot of ways, Fair Grove feels like home to me”, Dr. Hodson shared.
Dr. Hodson said, "Fair Grove has a reputation of success, high student achievement, and true community pride. I am excited to pour into a community that has a collective commitment to the success of the students. I will show up for this community to support, cheer on, and celebrate every chance I have!"
Principal, Mr. Buffington, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am truly excited for Dr. Hodson to join our elementary team! Her energy and fresh perspective will be a valuable addition to our group. I had a fantastic working relationship with Dr. Hollan; we complemented each other very well. I look forward to developing a similar partnership with Dr. Hodson as we work together towards our goals. I am confident that Maddison will quickly learn that it is indeed Great to Be an Eagle!”
