5th grade science has built roller coasters!!!
The 5th Grade Class has been studying gravity along with potential and kinetic energy. They also had a standard that asked them to solve a problem within given constraints. It has been so much fun and they have worked very hard.
Today they shared their roller coasters in class. The challenge was to build the coaster that takes the longest time for the marble to get into the cup.
The slowest time we had all day was an average of 19.89 seconds. (One of the times for this group was 24.31!!!) The members of this group are Hunter Gladden, Micayla Beard, Jesse Elliston, and Shayla Caldwell (the photo of their roller coaster is below. Congratulation to all participants!
