The FGMS 5th Grade teachers are so excited about the upcoming school year. In order to ease the transition from elementary school to middle school, we will have our “5th Grade Meet the Teacher” night on Monday, August 12 from 6:00PM - 7:00PM. In order to meet the needs of families with students in both elementary and middle school, this will be a come-and-go event where students and parents may come in and find their lockers, meet their teachers and get more familiar with the building. Also, Mr. Green and the office staff will be available to answer any questions you may have during that time. Please stay tuned for further middle school related information over the next few days. We look forward to seeing you on the 12th between 6:00PM and 7:00PM. Welcome the FGMS!
Just a reminder to re-enroll your child on-line before Thursday, August 1st. This way you will see your child's schedule for the 2019-20 school year and you will not have to come to the school on Thursday. If you have not registered by Thursday, please come to the Middle School between the hours of 10am to 7pm and we will be more than happy to assist you re-enrolling your child.
For NEW STUDENT enrollment, please come to the school on Wednesday, July 31st between the hours of 8am-3pm. Please bring a proof of residency with you, your child's birth certificate and their current immunizations records if you have those available.

Re-enrollment for returning students is now open on-line. You must use a computer not a mobile phone for the re-enrollment process. If you need assistance with on-line enrollment please come to the Middle School Thursday, August 1st from 10am - 7pm and we will be glad to assist you with your child’s re-enrollment.

Reminder: Cheerleading clinics will be held Wednesday and Thursday (May 29 and 30th) from 12-4 in the FEMA building. Tryouts will also be in the FEMA on Friday the 31st from 12- until all tryouts have been completed. If your child did not turn in paperwork they can still come to clinics and tryout, we will just need a completed physical if they do not have an up to date one.

Just a reminder that if your child is attending summer school that drop off for Active Eagles will be at the High School Gym. All other Middle School students should be dropped off at the Elementary School.
If your child is attending Active Eagles in the morning and also attending the afternoon sessions, they should be picked up at the elementary at 2:30.
Middle School grade cards will be available for pick up during summer school hours — Tuesday’s through Fridays from 8 - 2:30 starting May 28th. Please be aware that all unpaid balances will need to be paid before receiving your child’s grade card. Please call the office if you have questions at 759-2556 ext 300 if you have questions.
Parents the Lumen Portal has been locked. Middle School grade cards will be available for pickup starting Tuesday, May 28 during summer school hours (8 - 2:30). Please be prepared to pay any unpaid balances that your child may owe in order to receive their grade card.

MSHSAA member schools voted to allow a physical exam certified by a medical professional to be valid for duration of two years (730 days) from date of issue. All physicals from last year are good, only students playing for the first time need physicals for the next school year.

We will NOT have late start this Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Buses will run at their regular time -- school will start at 8am.
Also, Friday the 17th is the last day of school. School will be released at 1pm.
Summer school will start on Tuesday, May 28. Please have your child turn in their summer school form as soon as possible. Forms are available in the office.
